About this episode . . .
Our topic is tending your garden, “garden” being a euphemism for your lady parts that we borrowed from Song of Solomon. It’s a nice way to think of our feminine sexuality, as a garden that can bloom beautifully if well cared for. But today we’re talking specifically about hygiene, “landscaping,” and even decorating your garden.
- It’s important to have good hygiene to avoid infections and experience sexual pleasure as God intended. So what have y’all learned about what constitutes good hygiene for a woman’s private parts? What advice do you have?
- More and more wives are grooming their garden. I’m referring specifically to pubic hair and “landscaping” it by shaving, waxing, or using other hair removal products or processes. What do you think about that trend, and why has it become so popular?
- Not only can you landscape but you can decorate your garden — permanent and temporary tattoos, piercings, and vajazzling, which is basically putting stickers shaped like jewels onto your body. What do y’all think about this practice?
- What does the Bible have to say, if anything, about how we care for our lady parts?

From the Bible . . .
1 Corinthians 12:22-25: “On the contrary, those parts of the body that seem to be weaker are indispensable, and the parts that we think are less honorable we treat with special honor. And the parts that are unpresentable are treated with special modesty, while our presentable parts need no special treatment. But God has put the body together, giving greater honor to the parts that lacked it, so that there should be no division in the body, but that its parts should have equal concern for each other.”
Leviticus 14:8-9:”He who is to be cleansed shall wash his clothes, shave off all his hair, and wash himself in water, that he may be clean. After that he shall come into the camp, and shall stay outside his tent seven days. But on the seventh day he shall shave all the hair off his head and his beard and his eyebrows-all his hair he shall shave off. He shall wash his clothes and wash his body in water, and he shall be clean.
Numbers 8:7: “Thus you shall do to them to cleanse them: Sprinkle water of purification on them, and let them shave all their body, and let them wash their clothes, and so make themselves clean.”

Great Podcast! I get waxed monthly 😉 Hubby likes it so as long as he wants it, he pays for it. I personally think I need SOME hair, its there for a reason!! But if its for him, I won’t complain.
We’ve all got our preferences and it shows you have given sexual intimacy a priority in your marriage. That’s awesome! We’re glad you liked this episode.
As I type, I am looking for stick on jewels! 😉 NEVER thought of that! Will be a NICE surprise! lol
In regards to hygiene, don’t forget to wipe front-to-back to prevent UTIs!
Good point to remember. Thank you.
