Our family has been home educating for 12 years. There have been some hard times concerning time together just as a couple. When our children were very little, grandparents would keep them but as they got older that was not available. My husband really struggles sometimes with the kids being around ALL the time. He loves the way we educate, but he feels the need for space very strongly sometimes. However, as kids have been getting into the 12+ ages, we can let them be in charge of the kitchen cleanup after supper and we can get a good 30 minutes or more to connect depending on how many dishes there are! Thank you so much for considering homeschooling families. I don’t have a lot of community and I definitely couldn’t talk about sex to the other moms I know.
